January 18th

Well things are going well with the pregancy, we have decided to have a home birth, with a midwife and a doula, We sat down and talked to the doula today. She is awsome her name is jackie... I was just looking at my blog and relized i havent even talked about the pregancy since i found out i was pregnant.. Well let catch up...
We talked about having a home birth with the last pregancy and david seemed ok with it... Then when i told him i wanted to have a home birth this time he wasnt near as welcomming as he was before i didnt know what had changed his mind. So i tried to find a birthing center in las vegas, no such luck... They dont have any!!!!!!!!! So i talked to margie (thats the midwife) and she said that if i wanted we could have a consulation with her and she would talk to david about his fears and what not (david having fears...LOL)anyway it seems to go over well. David told her before we left that this is what i wanted and so it was going to happen...Since then i have gotten to see the baby 2 times.. Once just to make sure it was a vialable pregancy and the second to make sure everything was ok... We couldnt find a heartbeat.... I have been trying to get as much knowledge as possiable, i gotta make a trip to the local libary... We met with the midwife today, She is very nice and seems to be great at what she does i have talked to her references and they love her... She is going to be taking the place of david, to make sure i am getting everything i need. David doesnt want to be that hands on and i really dont know if i want him to be... He get nervous and if he was nervous i would be nervous.. I am really excited, about it... I know that some people dont like the idea of a home birth, believe i have gotten lecture after lecture about it not being save, but i feel that woman have been giving birth since the beginng of man and they are doing ok... and my sister has had 3 out of 4 successful homebirths, The only reason she went to the hospital with the 1st time was cause she was tried and her and her midwife werent seeing eye to eye on things, she wanted to sleep and relax and the midwife wanted her to be up and walking around.. her youngest will be 1 yrs old in feb. i think... anway.. i will try and be more up to date with the blogs... sorry i got behind.....
