Frank Beaver....

Frank Beaver Born November 30th 1937 and passed away October 12,2009...

I met Frank a few years ago while eatting at a cafe that him and his wife owned in Hulbert,OK.After a few visits to the cafe, him and my dad became good friends. When we would come in he would come and sit at our table and talk about fishing and hunting and all the daily things of a small town. For most that know me they know i love to sit and listen to stories of the "old days". My dad and i would come in for breakfest and find our selfs still there when the lunch hour rush came in.. (which was fine by me his wife clara made the best hamburger steak i have ever had.) When i met frank he wasnt in the best of health but he seem to be doing just fine. As the time went on his health had went down hill and he could no longer do the things that he once could do. He was in and out of hospitals for awhile. He was in a lot of pain even if he wouldnt say it. He made one last great recovery and got to go fishing with his brother in july of this year. After that he went back down hill and fought every step of the way. During my recent trip back to OK, i went and saw him and clara, (mostly so they could see gretchen cause i have noticed that the people that once were so happy to see you when you came to visit after you have a baby you no longer seem to matter as long as you bring that baby they dont know you are there...LOL) So i got to sit and chat with him for a little bit one last time.. It was mostly about gretchen and how it was to be a mom. It was still nice to sit and talk to him.. I am glad that he is no longer suffering and that he is finally in peace and good health once agian, and i know that he is up above sitting at a good fishing hole, Watching down on us!!
