In the Aug.2008 issue: an infant toy, there was this glove i thought it was kinda cool its called a bobo glove, to me it looks like a yellow dish glove with different things glues to it, Thought it was neat, maybe i will make one.. Cleanup time, These are good solutions, everything you need to make eco friendly cleaners...
Ingredients:
Baking soda
distilled white vineger
Olive oil
Lemon

Recipes:
All Purpose: Mix soultion of 1 part vineger and 1 part water in a spray bottle. Its good on glass and countertops and toliets,... DONT use on MARBLE

Laundry: add 1/2 cup vineger during the rinse cycle to soften clothing and cut down on odors..

Bathroom: Mix water and baking soda to form a paste to scrub fixtures and tile. You can also sprinkle baking soda in the toliet bowl and add a splash of vineger to make it fizz and then clean it with a toliet brush.

Wood:Combine 2 parts lemon juice and 1 part of olive oil.Pour a small amount on a clean rag and use to polish finished wood surfaces..

Thats it for the aug 2008 issue now on to the
March 2009 issue
there was a little piece in this issue that i thought i would comment on its about allergies,
I thank the lord have no food allergies that i cant deal with i cant eat either cantalope or honeydew i am not sure which one it is i just know that one of them make my lips itch so much that they swell.. Not cool.. IF I had a allergy to penuts i would be very vey upset i love peanut butter!! I was told and have read in pleanty of places that you arent suspose to give your kids peauts untill after they are like 4 or something i also thought it was crazy i have pictures of me when i was little eatting peanut butter out of the jar when i was like 2 if not younger. So in this issue they are now saying that avoiding culprits like peanuts at a young age may actully backfire!! In a new study children who didnt eat foods containing peanuts during a early childhood were 10x's more likly to develop a peanut allergy then kids who ate paenuts before 12 months!! What do you guys think about this?? Disney on a dime.. So it will be a while before i am taking gretchen mae to disney but the day will come for sure!! I went and cant see it not happening for my little girl.. So here are some tips Research deals online Mousesavers.com also orlandoinfo.com you can sign up for a complimenty magicard which has tons of discounts then there is allears.net... tip#2 opt for value hotels they say there is no need to waste money on a hotel that you arent even going to be spending that much time in.. they say you can find a all star resort right on the disney property rooms are basic but the theme pool was a hit with kids.plus you get the same perks as the guest at the more $$$ hotels, They say you could find a lower price on a room off the property but if you have to rent a car it might not be that much savings...tip#3 choose dates wisely, you can save 100's of bucks from hotels to airfare, if you go durring the off season..tip#4 take a break from the park you can visit the no-charge downtown disney they have cheaper shops and restaurants and other things kids love..Tip#5 pack a picnic disney resorts have a relaxed policy about bringing outside food into the park so take advantage of it... pack sandwhichs and drinks and save big bucks!!!
April 09 issue
To save paper laminate a few sheets of paper and have the kids use washable markers when done just wipe them clean and start over agian, stick a marshmellow on the bottom of a ice cream cone, it stops the drips and they get a bonus treat in the end..use puffy paint on the bottom of socks slippers and tights and it keeps them from sliding on hardwood floors,(will work out great for a new walker)..

Visit your local garden center and pick up seeds that sprout quickly like radishes, and sunflowers bright flowers with large hardy leaves like banana plants are child friendly. another favorite is the "strach and sniff" herb family..

Have a piece of ground that your kids and care for three sq feet is perfect. unless you have put down fresh soil they them prep the ground first lossen the dirt, with a spade then rake then walk up it to compact it rake agian to remove rocks and weeds. to mark their territory help them make a wooden garden sign with thier name, or make some type of border.

Hollow out and rinse a hard boiled egg insert a wet cotton ball, and add a generous teaspoon of fast growing seeds such as alfalfa sprouts or watercress, paint a happy face on the shell and take the egg carton and cut a section in which the egg can sit in and glue popsicle feet to the bottom water everyday and watch the "hair do" grow!! i was going to post a picture of this cute idea but the website is down..

May 09 issue really didnt have much in it...

June 09..

I cant wait till i can save art masterpieces but what will i do with all of them, i have a hard time throwing stuff away not a good triat.. here are some ideas

Frame it get restickable wall decals and frame the art work.
upload it,scan drawings in ur computer and animoto.com create a cool video to music that you can save and email to people.. You could prob make a book out of too at shutterfly..

bind it, store flat projects in three ring binders..

eat on it, make a place mat simply by laminating kids art work..

mark it, transform playful illustrations into a monthly calender..

when board books are about to fall apart cut them away from the spine and hole punch then then put them together with a loose binder ring..

Instead of throwing out the toddler race car bed take it outside and fill it with sand and voila got a sand box..

from the babytalk mag june/july 09 issue
